USAGE POLICY
1. 3D File Requirements (Solid Models and No Through-Holes)
The Modilfy algorithm is designed to operate optimally and exclusively on solid 3D models. The system will automatically fill any internal cavities. Consequently, to create a mold for a hollow object, the user must upload the "solid" 3D model of the object. Furthermore, models must not have through-holes or complex empty spaces (e.g., closed loops). These spaces prevent proper splitting and must be closed beforehand by the user using 3D modeling software. The site is not liable for the generation of incorrect molds resulting from uploading non-compliant models (hollow, through-holes, corrupted meshes), and the credits spent for their processing will not be refunded.
2. Supported File Formats (.STL)
Currently, the Modilfy algorithm is optimized to support exclusively 3D models in .STL format. This requirement is strictly necessary to ensure maximum precision in mesh calculation and the correct execution of the cut (both in automatic and manual modes). Uploading files with different extensions is not currently supported and may generate processing errors. The platform is continuously developing, and future updates will extend compatibility to other major 3D formats.
3. Printing Responsibility and Slicing Parameters
Modilfy exclusively provides the digital 3D files of the generated mold. All decisions and parameters related to the physical production of the mold via 3D printing are the sole competence and responsibility of the user. This includes, for example, the settings defined in the slicing software (such as the percentage and type of infill, perimeters, supports) and the choice of printing material (e.g., PLA, PETG). The site is in no way responsible for mold breakage during use, material leakage, or printing failures resulting from slicing settings that are inadequate for the physical stresses of casting or pressing.
4. Payments, Credits, and Refunds
Generating a mold consumes credits from the user's balance. As this is a digital service with immediate processing and consumable computing credits, no refunds are provided for credits already used to generate molds (after the free preview phase). The user can cancel their subscription renewal at any time from the Customer Portal, retaining access to any remaining credits until the end of the billing cycle.
